Infrastructure, Transport, and Logistics Forum 3rd Edition

On February 20, 2024, the Infrastructure, Transport, and Logistics Forum, organized by Club Antreprenor and Ziarul Pozitiv, took place in Bucharest, Romania. The event was held at the Carol I Hall, situated on the 2nd floor of the Palace of the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Partners of the event included prominent organizations such as the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIB), the Union of Romanian Forwarding Companies (USER), NutriLife, Sixense, Grampet, Grup Feroviar Roman, and International Alexander.

Romania has been witnessing significant developments in the transport and infrastructure sectors, gaining international importance due to various factors, including infrastructure projects, European funding, and increased freight transport demand, partially attributed to geopolitical events such as the war in Ukraine.

The industrial and logistics sector has also seen remarkable growth in recent years, fueled by the expansion of retail, both traditional and online. Public transportation in Romanian cities has undergone significant advancements, including digital transformation initiatives such as the introduction of electric buses, electronic payment systems, and mobile applications.

The Infrastructure, Transport, and Logistics Forum aimed to present measures and solutions from European officials, government representatives, and industry leaders to drive significant changes in the sector. Key topics for discussion included the utilization of European funds, financing for infrastructure development, legislative changes, digitalization, tender processes, and corporate governance in state-owned companies.

The event provided a platform for stakeholders to engage in discussions on vital issues shaping the future of transportation and infrastructure in Romania, with a focus on sustainable development, investments, job creation, and improved mobility.

FOR-FREIGHT participated in the event through the project partner BEIA, who distributed promotional material.
