At our recent 3rd General Assembly meeting held in Athens in March 2024, we had the honor of hosting Dr. Vasileios E. Melissianos, Senior Critical Infrastructure Engineer, who presented the ground-breaking PLOTO project. 

The PLOTO project, which stands for “Deployment and Assessment of Predictive modelling, environmentally sustainable and emerging digital technologies and tools for improving the resilience of IWW against Climate change and other extremes,” is a pioneering initiative that started in September 2022 and is set to revolutionize the resilience of inland waterways against climate change and other challenges. 

We are thrilled to collaborate with Dr. Melissianos and the PLOTO project team, as we share a common vision for leveraging innovative technologies and sustainable practices to address the pressing challenges facing the T&L sector.
