On the 16th and 17th of June 2023, the project partner CERTH/HIT attended the Smart Cities Expo & Conferences, which took place in Athens, Greece. The event focused on key factors and stakeholders involved in Digital Governance, Sustainable Urban Development, Environmental Management, Energy Resource Management, etc.

The development policy of the European Union is based on “smart, sustainable and inclusive growth”. In general, “Smart Cities” are a new way of urban governance and management, where digital technologies have a dominant role in improving relationships and processes. “The financial resources for the development of smart Greek cities are now abundant and allow all cities to realize how they see their future”, the Managing Director of Teamworks explained. 

FOR-FREIGHT attended the event with a booth, and distributed the project flyers to the interested audience. The project coordinator briefed the audience about the project’s use cases and trials, and provided further analysis on the methodologies and technologies they are going to use in the project.
