ALICE stands for Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe, which aims at liaising with running research and innovation projects and initiatives supporting ALICE roadmap implementation.  

The FOR-FREIGHT project is participating in the ALICE Liaison Program as a value-added activity towards ALICE roadmaps implementation, thus, it will be showcased in ALICE events (i.e., conferences), as well as participate in relevant thematic groups of ALICE to properly link the project outcomes to the Thematic group activities and the identification of remaining gaps that would feed ALICE documents, including recommendations to Research and Innovation programs. With this intention,

To promote the project’s activities, FOR-FREIGHT may use the ALICE network, specifically:

• ALICE Web including a pitch of the project;
• ALICE Knowledge Platform;
• ALICE network as a dissemination channel at ALICE events such as IPIC and TRA, and;
• FOR-FREIGHT activities outcomes through the ALICE Newsletter.

The ALICE Knowledge Platform gathers extensive resources on innovation in the logistics sector. It provides visibility to the main deliverables, outcomes, and implementation cases of EU-funded R&I projects. It also includes the contact details of the project partners and experts working on those projects. The Knowledge Platform provides information on funding opportunities, innovative companies, and a library with relevant papers and reports such as the resources from the International Physical Internet Conference. In addition, the Innovation Marketplace links innovation seekers willing to solve a problem and R&I projects’ outcomes owners that can provide a solution, or with experts who can unpack the problem and develop solutions.

The Knowledge Platform is powered by ALICE with the support of the European Commission H2020 funded project SENSE: “Accelerating the Path Towards the Physical Internet” and BOOSTLOG: “Boosting impact generation from research and innovation on integrated freight transport and Logistics system”.
